Dear Sr. Kathleen,

I wish to acknowledge and thank Sister Susan Curtin for her eighteen years of selfless service to the students, their parents, and the faculty and staff of St. Stanislaus Kostka School.  When I say selfless, I truly mean selfless.  Sister Susan made my job as pastor all the easier.  Under her leadership, I never had to worry, knowing that she administered the school with faith, wisdom and prudence.  She loved the children and their families.  She was a just, but merciful, disciplinarian.  Our school was safe and secure under her tutelage.  Sister was unapologetically Catholic and yet respectfully ministered to non-Catholics in such an inviting way that some became Catholics.  In short, we were indeed blessed to have Sister Susan here at St. Stanislaus Kostka for so many years.

I’d also like to acknowledge and thank the School Sisters of Notre Dame for the service—mission and ministry—this religious order has rendered to literally thousands upon thousands of young people and children throughout the past 140 years here at St. Stanislaus Kostka School.

Your Congregation’s absence from the school will be felt, but the seeds of a well-rounded life, planted and nurtured in the faith, will continue to bear fruit in ways unknown to all of us.  I hope the religious-based education of young people will always be the hallmark of the School Sisters of Notre Dame.

Thank you, Sisters, for all you are and do for the people of God.  Be assured of my prayers for you and your apostolic endeavors.

                                                         Sincerely in Christ,

                                                         Fr. Anthony Bus C.R.
                                                         Pastor
