On April 6th, SSND Waterdown hosted a joyous celebration of an educator, elder, religious leader, Sister, and friend.
Sister Colette Ryan celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by friends, family and those who love her.
Sisters gave her beautiful letters and birthday wishes.
Other birthday wishes came from unexpected senders!
Sister Colette received a Papal Blessing to start the celebration, and the Prime Minister joined in on our toasting with a corresponding letter.
King Charles himself reached out on behalf of the royal family to cherish this event with us.
We were also lucky to have the company of Sisters Marie Taylor and Catharine Reiter, both of whom are over 100 years old!
Some family members made toasts, a blessing was given, and Sister Colette cut the cake.
It was a beautiful spring day and Sister Colette was most often at a loss for words, feeling the love and generosity that day!
