The Gospel Funds of the Atlantic-Midwest Province assist in the financing of projects in Canada and the United States whose goals are consistent with the SSND congregational mandate to reverence all creation and make the concerns of the poor our own.
The Canadian Gospel Fund is administered by SSNDs in Canada for organizations in or related to Canada. Its administration is separate from that in the United States. There is no application process for Canada.
The following information applies to the United States Gospel Fund.
Do you work for an organization or know of one that needs funding for a special project? Then consider applying for a grant from the School Sisters of Notre Dame's U.S. Gospel Fund. Your application will need an endorsement (see below). (Note: AMSSND-sponsored and co-sponsored ministries are not eligible for the Gospel Fund)
Fiscal Year 2026 applications are now open for the U.S. Gospel Fund. Applications and endorsements will be accepted until October 1, 2025, and awards will be decided during the month of October.
U.S. Gospel fund Parameters:
- There is one award cycle in the fiscal year.
- The maximum amount granted to any one project is $7,500.
- Endorsements can be made by SSNDs, but also by Associates or staff of the Atlantic–Midwest Province and staff of its sponsored and co-sponsored ministries.
- Organizations can apply to the Gospel Fund annually; however, preference is given to first-time applicants.
U.S. Gospel Fund Reporting Form
Recipients must submit a report of how funds were used no later than one year after the receipt of grant funding. If you are re-applying, please submit your report by September 1.Â
