School Sisters of Notre Dame continue to live the vision of Foundress Blessed Theresa Gerhardinger in a variety of ways. Below our Sisters share stories of their work and ministry.
Sisters Stories
On Saturday, November 11, 2023, we — Sisters Mary Roy Weiss, Phyllis McNally and Kathleen Jancuk — traveled from Cumberland, Maryland, to a vocation fair in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This was the first vocation fair that the Diocese of Pittsburgh held since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On December 13th, students from Sisters Academy visited with the Sisters at Stella Maris.
We chatted together, toured the building to see the Christmas decorations at Stella Maris, and colored Christmas pictures together. It was beautiful to see the connection the students made with the Sisters!
Celebrating Jubilee!
Celebrating Jubilee!
Each year, we honor and celebrate our sister Jubilarians. Jubilee is a special time to rejoice with our Sisters as they celebrate their 25, 40, 50, 60, 70, 75, or 80 years of faithful love and service to God.
Learn about this year's Jubilarians
We go forth daily in the spirit of Mother Theresa, remembering her words: "Poor and abandoned, we began the work of God in supernatural faith and confidence... let us continue to serve the Triune God all our Lives with Joy."
