Our Sisters

School Sisters of Notre Dame continue to live the vision of Foundress Blessed Theresa Gerhardinger in a variety of ways. Below our Sisters share stories of their work and ministry.

Sisters Stories

Our Sisters in Canada are embracing a particular bittersweet reality as we let go of our former Canadian Province Motherhouse. As long as we have been futuring that reality, uppermost in our hearts has been the question, “What will happen to our cemetery?"
Sister Marie Dolores
Sister Marie Dolores is one of 11 siblings born in Buffalo, N.Y. Of the 11, Sister Marie Dolores, four of her sisters, and one brother entered religious life, with all five sisters becoming SSNDs!
This week, Sisters from Lourdes Health Care Center in Wilton, CT are moving to Ozanam Hall in Bayside, NY. We wish them all the best in their new mission and community! Please keep them in your prayers.

Celebrating Jubilee!

Each year, we honor and celebrate our sister Jubilarians. Jubilee is a special time to rejoice with our Sisters as they celebrate their 25, 40, 50, 60, 70, 75, or 80 years of faithful love and service to God.

Learn about this year's Jubilarians

We go forth daily in the spirit of Mother Theresa, remembering her words: "Poor and abandoned, we began the work of God in supernatural faith and confidence... let us continue to serve the Triune God all our Lives with Joy."
