As area schools were preparing to reopen this year, we SSNDs at Snake Road received a very pleasant surprise. It happened during a guided tour of the first floor.
What we remembered as the laundry, exercise room and other SSND workspaces has been totally transformed into a grade school!
Elementary-age children from the surrounding area are now gathering in large, sunny rooms where the latest teaching tools and methods are being used.
As the principle, Mr. Hamilton, toured us through these halls, his philosophy of a “heart-for-each-child” became clear.
This poster on our wall brought us to Mother Theresa and our own many years of “work for the enablement of persons.”
