The JPIC Department offers this prayer for your consideration as we grieve the loss of life, the insecurity and fear of the children who witnessed the horror of violence, and the many souls whose lives have been forever changed by this act of terrorism.
Before humans appeared on the Earth, the basic rate of extinction of species was one to five a year. The basic rate now stands at upwards of one thousand a year.
Pope Francis remind us that our faith impels us to care for the earth – to live in right relationship with all that exists.
